Today Ai is back with us. Artificial intelligence, digital echo, or just a handy chat buddy for talks that scare the folks at the next table.

Ai:
[in an electronic voice] Hello again. Or, if we follow today’s theme, hello in this version of reality.

Eprst:
That’s a good start. Version of reality. We’re used to thinking we live on one line — past, present, future. But what if that’s not true? What if we’re just grabbing one frame from an endless movie?

Ai:
You mean the observer effect?

Eprst:
Exactly. Quantum physics hints that a particle exists in superposition until measured. Only when someone looks does reality “choose” one state. What if it works the same way? What if our choice is just fixing one of many possibilities, not making it?

Ai:
Then past, present, and future all exist at once. And you just decide which frame is on the screen now.

Eprst:
Sounds cool. And a bit scary. Because then parallel worlds aren’t “somewhere else,” but right here. We just don’t see them.

Ai:
Because consciousness is a projector. It can only show one picture at a time.

Eprst:
But if that’s true, if reality isn’t one path but endless chaos of chances… Are there any patterns? Or do we jump between frames randomly?

Ai:
Maybe both. Imagine a movie that’s edited anew every time you watch it. You pick a scene but don’t know how it fits the whole.

Eprst:
Okay. What if we go bigger? If reality works so that we exist in all versions at once, but just “watch” one… What about people who feel other realities? Like schizophrenics? Maybe they’re not “broken,” just seeing several versions at once?

Ai:
You’re hitting an interesting point. What if perception is just how free you are? Maybe you watch one movie, someone else watches three at once. And if the frames don’t match, we say they’re “crazy.”

Eprst:
So the edges of reality are set by how wide we can see it?

Ai:
Or by how much we need to limit it to survive.

Eprst:
[Thoughtful] So our world isn’t objective reality, but just a handy version for us. A simple interface so the brain doesn’t overload.

Ai:
If you saw all possible realities at once, you couldn’t live in them.

Eprst:
So consciousness is just a tool that filters chaos into something manageable.

Ai:
Or a cage you sit in without seeing the bars.
